Whole Blood Collections

The DonorCare Needle Guard is a simple, effective needle guard for use in whole blood collection procedures. The design reduces the potential for needle stick injury to the healthcare workers, blood donors, housekeeping staff, contaminated waste disposal staff and the public at large.  DonorCare has been designed in close consultation with senior nursing and blood collection personnel.

SampLok Tube Holder - companion product for increased safety

The DonorCare Needle Guard locks together with companion SampLok Tube Holder at the end of the blood collection procedure.  When locked together, DonorCare and SampLok provide a safe, secure system locking away both the donor needle and the luer needle prior to disposal in the biohazard sharps container.
