Platypus® Needle Guard

Platypus is a simple, effective needle guard designed for use with apheresis and AV Fistula needle sets. It was developed as an aid in the prevention of needle stick injury to healthcare workers, apheresis donors/patients, housekeeping and waste disposal staff, and the public at large.  

Platypus is easily integrated into existing procedures. It has been designed in close consultation with senior hemodialysis and apheresis nursing personnel.
